Dress code to worship God?

On Gurupurnima(Teacher's Day) for my Spiritual Master who adopted me a few years ago!
On Tuesday,7th July was Gurupurnima, and I did not know that it was so close, until some of my friends happened to also drop in a temple near my home where I was invited to bring my Dolak(Indian drum) to make some sounds and sing a bajan(devotional song.) They reminded me about Guru's date! I was thankful that I had already bought some materials, etc. a few days earlier to figure out on how to make a new hat for my Spiritual Guru on my alter at home, and he is none other than the deceased SHIRDI BABA!
Come Tuesday, Baba(Father), I call him kept me so busy at home, just like how he keeps me busy, tied to his legs when I go and visit him at his Mystical temple in Sydney, Australia!
I forgot to mention that I decided to cook "Kuei Dieu/Teow" for prasadam to bring to temple.(You can watch how I cook such a dish on www.youtube.com/cookingwithnancy, if you click on this as you wish.)
When evening came, I dressed only in dark Navy-blue loose pants and a sky-blue jumper and a new multi-coloured fine striped slip-over woolie-blouse with "butter-fly" winged sleeves if I streched out both my hands! Looked and felt happy, as it is Winter over here and that's the main point! So I went to Shirdi Baba's temple for his evening Aarti service where singing was done in Merati dilect, which this Saint spoke during his life-time! The temple was packed with devotees as the temple had been opened from morning 5 a.m. if my memory was correct! As we queued to squeeze in, somehow or rather, I was ushered to go to the front but I could not see anyspace where I can sit! devotees were all packed like "sardines," males on one side of the hall and ladies on the other! Then a Senior -volunteer lady pointed to me to go up and sit on the same platform where the Lotus feet of Baba-ji sits. Another lady -in -charge came and beckoned the same thing for me to do. So I thankfully bowed to Baba-ji before I scrambled up there with my Dolak(Indian drum). The bajans were still going on, I gazed at Baba-ji and was full of admiration and noticed that he was dressed in blue, as I was too, I realised! Then I whispered to the lady that told me to sit on the platform that, that morning I also adorned a blue braclet for Baba in my home and she nodded her head! I actually put an identical one on a crystal that has an image of Goddess Raddha & Krishna & Buddha all in one on my alter at home as well! I had selected a lovely old blue "Seluar Kamis," (Indian dress)also in blue to iron to wear, but had not time to do so!

I thanked Baba-ji and felt the satisfaction that he was so pleased with the little new "hat" that I stitched it up in time for him at home for his "Gurupurnima", as I did not know how to form a hat for him from tiny strips of orange, white and green ribbons and and other glittering stones that I purchased from the shop, and that was why he gave me such an "honourable" spot to sit near to him that evening which I will never forget for the rest of my life!!!

Baba-ji also gave me an opportunity to drum and sing along some bajans that were rendered that evening so I was most happy! That day most of the other devotees worked day and night for Baba-ji to make his day momorable for all in different ways! Baba-ji bless them in different ways too!
To me, this is TrueHappiness as Blessings, and I understand that Baba-ji will welcome you to see him even if you come in ordinary clothes! So, please don't be shy to come and see him!

Jai Sai Ram!
